Breakfast Calzones with Cheese and Ham Recipe

These tasty breakfast calzones are ideal for a quick and easy meal. They're stuffed with diced ham, shredded cheddar cheese, and creamy ricotta cheese, all encased in a fluffy pizza dough. They're perfect for breakfast, brunch, or a quick lunch.

Ingredients

  • Prep Time: 15 minutes
  • Cook Time: 25 minutes
  • Total Time: 40 minutes

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200 degrees C).
  • Divide the pizza dough into four equal portions on a lightly floured surface.
  • Roll each portion into a 6-inch-diameter circle.
  • Combine the ham, cheddar cheese, ricotta cheese, parsley, salt, and pepper in a medium mixing bowl.
  • Divide the ham and cheese mixture evenly among the four dough circles, covering one half of each with it.
  • Fold the remaining dough over the filling and pinch the edges to seal.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the calzones on it.
  • Brush the tops of the calzones with the beaten egg.
  • Bake the calzones for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and puffy.
  • Serve immediately.
